30- Landscape of a Heart
I took up residence in a library (of course she did) and I took up writing (of course she did) but mostly I took up the chore these mountain dragons never bothered with

But the cycle never stops, the kings and the apocalypses, the hearts and traitors and friends of raiders, do you hear it in the hills

strike fire fight light lead us on to where it’s bright

If I just find one being to treat me nice, that would be enough, right? So why do I have to go on

cancer
I’ve often thought of myself as living on the outskirts of society, like a cancer with more self-awareness than the organism itself.
the thing is,
most sapient things I’ve found live this contradiction where they can’t be alone but being not-alone exposes them to all sorts of
