I found a place to lie
each night
and never called it home,
I found a place to eat
each day

I found a place
to keep my paper runes dry
and never called it home,
I found a dog
and called her name
but never called her home
we just wandered together
‘til one day she left
to find a better home
and my soul alone
kept an emotion afloat
calling me some place like home.
