Follow me to the
hollow in the
wood where we could
talk until dawn.
Run unto the
sun inside our
galaxy where
we could be free.
Chase me to the
place under the
sea, I ever
ask you to be
true.
—
Take me to the wilds, our
picnic place on Pluto, the
mushrooms in the meadow.
A murderous maze
or buttercup brunch,
give, take,
you hunt, I’ll bake
let’s dine
on sunbeams and starlight
for tonight.
—
I’ll hold you ‘neath the
cold within this
shelter of my
sweater so safe.
Find you by the
rinds of all the
fruits tongued so we’d
lucidly dream.
Need you for the
feeling of this
night, one final
meal of stronger
tears.
—
Take me to the wilds, our
picnic place on Pluto, the
mushrooms in the meadow.
A murderous maze
or buttercup brunch,
let’s play
you hunt, I’ll bake
let’s dine
on sunbeams and starlight
for tonight.
—
Whisper to me
the courage to sing
in the wilderness
our tragedy to ring.
—
Take me to our home now, make
picnic plans on Pluto, pick
mushrooms in the meadow.
Marvelous maize
or buttercup brunch,
you, here,
I’m real, don’t fear
Let’s dine
on sunbeams and starlight
one last time.
