but constantly gossips about you behind your back.
So yeah, sure,
Amnesia’s got a nice reflection
to help you ignore the things that pain you,
the things keeping you up at night questioning what on earth you’re doing here.
“Look, dearie, just soldier on, head down, take it all a day at a time,
and it’ll be okay.”
Amnesia’s got a nice reflection
to distract you from the fair faces in the rearview
you once knew
but they’re all on Amnesia’s side of the story
not yours
and they will stab you in the back
right when you forget that they’re looming.
