Steal the Truth Together

I wrote a poem. Then I put it to some music. It’s less than 90 seconds long.

***

Where do you, where do you wanna go?

Speak to me, speak to me, take it slow.

Tell me what you want to know

From the sky to down below

Searing hot or under snow–

We could steal the truth together,

We could weather storms forever.

We could play, we could play far away.

Under day, starlit ray, we could stray.

Tell me what you want to do,

From dim dawn to shallow blue,

Deepest cave or highest moon;

We could steal the truth together,

We could play pretend forever.

But you don’t wanna stay here,

You’re craving an adventure,

We’ve held each other so near,

Beneath this very shelter,

But letting go, I still fear.

Tell me what you want to be,

From the limelights to the sea,

Creatures out of fantasy;

We could build the truth together,

Never lose you in forever.

Where do you want to go?
