ways autistic traits impact my daily life #2

I’ve only had caffeine a few times in my life. They’ve all ended badly.

Once when I was 10 or 12 or 13, I had a can of soda with caffeine. It wasn’t even the whole can. Probably less than half.

Unfortunately for my family, we were staying in a hotel for the night. I, instead of sleeping, giddily bounced on the bed and kept shouting at my brother and laughing uncontrollably. This went on for at least an hour, maybe longer, maybe less, it was years ago and I don’t remember perfectly. But I do remember that no one got much sleep that night.

The other times I’ve had caffeine, I get hyper and have too much energy and can’t sit still.

So as a general rule, I avoid caffeine in my life. Hence why on my Buy Me a Coffee page, I ask for pizzas instead.

To wrap up, here’s a pizza poem:

A pizza, please? I
love warm oven aroma,
crusts bubbling with cheese.

  1. Lol wow, caffeine really hits you strong, huh? I myself am on the other end of the scale, where even five to six cups a day leaves me with nothing but a dry mouth and bitter aftertaste. It’s a nice share on your end though. Thanks for this!
