go when you feel alone

Where do you go when you feel alone?

I go to another page, spitballing ideas like something profound will come out of it.

Nothing changes, you know that.

Things change. Of course they do.

They change so much that they tornado into cycles. Rinse, repeat, here we go again.

But you’re rarely around for the renewing of the cycle. So things change. And

I know you,

you go pretending they don’t hurt like that when they do.

Where do you go when you feel alone?

I try to pretend like I’m not. Isn’t that obvious?

I try to pretend like I’ll change things for good one of these times.

Like I’ll tornado higher and bring you with me

and we’ll see

something beautiful on top of the world

that makes this all worth it.

Yes, surely up there in the air,

the world song must still sing to another season, another sun

burst on your tongue;

one of these times when nothing changes,

maybe you’ll finally not be so sad about it.
