Full Transparency

We interrupt the regular Thursday programming (see: Can’t Catch Me Now) to bring more news about After Forever Falls Apart, book two in the Death Magic Duology.

It’s out! Yay! Over the coming days, it’ll be available as an ebook on more online stores (for example: Bookshop.org).

However, I’m still working on getting the book to print, there’s some wrinkles with trying to format some stuff…

Meanwhile, Graveyard of Lullabies (book 1) has a new updated cover (which you can see above or at, say, Barnes and Noble), along with some fixed typos/grammar issues in the book.

If you noticed, the Graveyard of Lullabies ebook now costs $0.00, hmm, interesting, why would I do that?

Full transparency: this is a marketing tactic. It’s called a “loss leader.” The idea is, I “sell” this book at a loss of profits, in order to encourage the sales of the other books, specifically the sequel.

From one perspective, that sounds a little scummy. “Here, read this book for free, so when you finish it and really need to know what happens in the next book, oh, you have to pay for that one.”

But from another perspective, hey, you get a free book. You get 2 books for the price of 1. And I get sales, wow, amazing, we both get something out of this trade.

But slight caveat: I can’t make the print book free. Because of printing costs and stuff. Also, some sites won’t let me sell the ebook for zero dollars, so if you see it listed for $0.99 anywhere, that’s why.

Okay, the end, here’s a couple song that are pretty awesome and loosely remind me of the books.
