The thing is,
humans
of my time
talked about
heart versus head
to represent
feeling versus logic,
so of course
the matter wasn’t so simple as
becoming a tree
and doing away with a heartbeat.
But if I could
be like Dr. Mizto,
who has no idea about
consciences
and consequences
and internal parts warring with each other,
maybe I could
unleash my full potential
without holding myself back.
