got feeling kinda sick
like dragging tons of brick
in place of every bone,
my joints ache
my head’s swamped
stomach’s heaving
taste like bile
smell that toilet tile
can’t sleep
through the headache
wanna watch a movie
through the fever
feed me nothing
but heat and I’ll freeze it
I’ve got sponges
for muscles
soaking into the couch
coughin’ out the plea
get me another
box of kleenex
never make me
leave the blanket
til I’m better
